MAC and Shaftesbury stage Cruella Carnaby store takeover
London landlord Shaftesbury has linked with tenant MAC to launch a one-off installation at the MAC global flagship store on Carnaby Street. It celebrates the forthcoming Disney Cruella Collection by the prestige beauty brand.
The “unique” installation includes an exterior wrap of the store, “bathed in Cruella’s style”, and the store interior has been transformed to offer a taste of the new live-action feature film about Cruella de Vil’s rebellious early days.
The store wrap was inspired by the the film’s setting — 1970s London in the middle of the punk rock revolution. The movie debuts in cinemas and on Disney+ on May 28.
Fiona Sainty, VP General Manager, MAC UK and Ireland, said: “As we look at life after lockdown returning, our customers of all ages, all races, all genders can once again enjoy our full store experience, celebrating the return of colour and self-expression through make-up with a crowd-stopping store-front to match.”
