Mackage launches campaign with rapper Lil’ Kim
Canadian luxury outwear brand Mackage launched on Thursday its Fall '22 collection campaign with rapper Lil' Kim as the face.
Photographed by Drew Vickers, Lil' Kim models the Montreal-based brand’s first-ever Monogram line featuring outerwear, sportswear, and accessories.
“Lil' Kim being a strong, independent woman who embraces bodycon fashion and is not afraid to stand out was the parallel we needed to introduce Mackage's first ever monogram collection," said Mackage CEO Tanya Golesic. "Her iconic looks have influenced so many throughout the 90's and continues to do so today.”
Founded in 1999, Mackage’s mission has always been to create stylish and sophisticated outerwear that balances fashion and function. Golesic was appointed last summer, ahead of company growth plans that include expanding its retail footprint in places such as Paris, London, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong and South Korea.
”I already had a genuine relationship with Mackage,” Lil' Kim said in a press release. ”I love their incredible leathers and puffers. When the team reached out to me to collaborate on launching their first monogram, it just felt true to me. They knew and understood the history of my style and most iconic looks and built campaign looks around that.”
The campaign will be rolled out through a high-impact global campaign, with key activations in cities including New York, Paris, Toronto and Seoul.
