Anwar joined Macy’s in May 2012 as VP, Engineering, and was promoted Group VP, Engineering in April 2014, SVP, Digital Technology in April 2016, and Chief Technology Officer in February 2017. He is one of the founders of MacysLabs and introduced lean development practices. He also established lean delivery teams to transform the delivery model, with a focus on experimentation and customer testing.

Prior to joining Macy’s, Anwar was the head of engineering at Walmartlabs and head of engineering at Samsclub.com.

As EVP and Chief Technology Officer, Anwar will oversee all technology functions for Macy’s; will drive the alignment of the company’s strategy; and will be responsible for the teams that build end-on-end e-commerce experience, enterprise-shared services, infrastructure, field services and functional IT support.

Robinson joined Macy’s in 2010 and served in different technology roles, including EVP, Digital Technology, Customer Experience & Site Merchandising.

In his new role, he will manage all aspects of product management, portfolio and user experiences for digital, store and omnichannel systems, as well as oversee a unified product and portfolio vision that will allow customers to shop seamlessly and across all Macy’s, Inc. channels.
