Maje is undergoing a change of management. Charlotte Tasset Ferrec, who took up her post as general manager of Maje in January 2022, has left the company, FashionNetwork.com has learned. The former executive of the Nina Ricci fashion house had been chosen to take over the position left vacant after the promotion in August 2021 to the head of the French group SMCP of Isabelle Guichot, who had been CEO of Maje since 2017.

In December, SMCP registered at the Paris commercial court the minutes of the departure of the deputy general manager. The French affordable luxury giant is expected to announce the new head of its second largest brand in terms of turnover. Other brands owned by the group include Sandro, Claudie Pierlot and Fursac.

"The SMCP Group has made a change in the general management of Maje," the group told FashionNetwork. The brand's teams are fully mobilised to ensure this transition period under the leadership of Isabelle Guichot, who is acting as interim CEO of Maje, in agreement with its founder, Judith Milgrom.

The group, which in November announced the appointment of Oliver Germain as head of Claudie Pierlot, is therefore operating Maje with Isabelle Guichot at the helm. In the first nine months of 2022, the SMCP group saw its sales grow by 17% organically and by more than 20% in published data. Maje, however, with a turnover of 344 million, had the least dynamic growth with an organic increase of almost 15%. The group is due to present its annual results on March 2.
