Maje opens first Australian store

Snubbing style capitals Melbourne and Sydney, French ready-to-wear brand Maje has opened its first Australian standalone store on the Gold Coast.

Maje has chosen Pacific Fair Shopping Centre to open its first store downunder, which continues to undergo a multimillion dollar redevelopment. 

The Paris retailer's clothing, footwear and accessories collection will be available to Queensland shoppers in its entirety.

The women's fashion offering entered the Australian market in March 2015 with five concession stores in David Jones Sydney (Central Business District), Bondi Junction, Bourke Street Melbourne, Chadstone Shopping Centre and Brisbane.

Owned by SCMP, Maje launched in 1998 and now operates around 700 point of sales globally.

Its debut Australian store opened May 7.
