Marine Serre partners with Skinvaders on digital collection
Marine Serre has teamed up with next-generation platform for in-game branded skins and digital clothing, Skinvaders, to digitise its 'Hard Drive' collection.
As part of the partnership, the collection of apparel is now available in Zepeto’s virtual world, offering fashion-savvy gamers the possibility to purchase pieces, priced between 5 to 14 Zems.
The Hard Drive collection stays true to the brand’s ethos highlighting the house’s core materials and savoir-faire. The drop accompanies the collection’s arrival in physical, allowing customers to enjoy it both in the physical and digital world.
“Gamer investment in avatar customizations, particularly with designer and luxury products, has been on the up and up in recent years, presenting a huge opportunity for in-game brand presence,’ said Alexis Arragon, CEO of Skinvaders.
“It has been an exciting project to work with the Marine Serre’s team to bring their collections to life in the digital realm, while tapping into an increasingly lucrative space, with more than two in three gamers interested in branded skins.”
Marine Serre first launched in 2016 with women’s ready-to-wear, and has gradually grown into menswear, with collections that offer a hybrid mixture of classic French couture shapes, sportswear references and fabrics. The house also pioneers the production of new garments based on end-of-life materials, marking its commitment to circularity in the fashion industry.
