With over 17 years' experience in senior roles across Human Resources, Bishop “is an established leader with successful experience in high-growth companies”, said Matches.

Previous companies include ASOS, Warner Brothers, and Addison Lee where she "demonstrated a history of delivering innovative and impactful people initiatives".

Matches CEO Nick Beighton, who also once ran ASOS, said: “Clare is a fantastic addition to our executive leadership team. We remain focused on our ambition to be the best luxury destination for both customers and employees and Clare brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be invaluable as we enter this exciting phase for the business.”

Bishop added: “Fundamental to our success will be our people and that’s where my focus will be; driving a leading employee experience via moments that matter.”

Beighton has been building his leadership team since his arrival from ASOS last year and some of the key execs he worked with at the e-fashion giant have now joined him again. Bishop links up with Andrea Trocino who was appointed Chief Product and Technology Officer in the summer while new executive creative director John Mooney also joined in February from ASOS were he was global brand creative director.
