French jewellery brand Messika, founded in Paris in 2005, is powering up its retail presence. It will open several new stores and shop-in-shops in the next two years, adding to its current tally of 4 monobrand stores (Paris and Megève in France, Almaty in Kazakhstan and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia), and to the approximately 300 multibrand stores in 60 countries which handle the brand.

In the next two years Messika will open 12 new retail outlets worldwide: 5 of them in 2017, with monobrand stores in Dubai, Manama in Bahrain, Doha in Qatar and in Kuwait City, plus a shop-in-shop in London. In 2018, Messika will add another 5 monobrand stores between Munich, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Budapest and two in Dubai, plus two shop-in-shops, one in New York and the other in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Elsewhere in Europe, the brand is also present in Italy, where it is available at several multibrand stores (including in Florence and Venice) and where it plans to further expand in 2017.

Messika's revenue in 2016 grew in double figures, between 30% and 50% depending on the markets, and its business is strongest in the Middle East, France and the UK.
