Michael Kors launches on Asia’s Zalora
The partnership will allow Michael Kors to elevate the digital experience of its existing customer base, as well as to reach a new one in different markets in Asia. Zalora, which was founded in 2012, has a presence in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The move follows the establishment of several stores across key cities and prime locations in Malaysia, explained Kelly Lee, regional general manager, Michael Kors, Valiram.
“We are ready to offer an omni-channel experience to all Michael Kors customers with plans to organize more exciting collaborations with Zalora as the market navigates towards the new normal,” she said.
The partnership debuts with the exclusive launch of 'Karlie', a sophisticated new satchel premiering the Michael Kors Fall ‘21 collection.
The Karlie satchel boasts a structured trapezoid shape, braided top handle and concealed snap fastening that opens to a pocketed interior — all complemented by an all-new eye-catching gold logo hardware. It is now available in multiple sizes, colours, and materials including Saffiano leather, croc-embossed details, Signature print and Signature print with stud details.
“We strive to deliver the best of brands to our customers, and Michael Kors is an exciting addition to our luxury category,” added Mariella Merlino, luxury lead at Zalora.
“Offering shoppers the iconic Michael Kors range of ready-to-wear accessories underscores our commitment to the elevated shopping experience, and we look forward to exploring more activations with the brand to optimise our partnership.”
Michael Kors is part of the Capri Holdings family of brands, which also owns luxury brands Versace and Jimmy Choo. Likewise, Zalora is part of Global Fashion Group (GFG).
