Moncler is on the move in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, with the haute-alpine brand opening its largest APAC store in Singapore late last month, followed by its first Sydney flagship this week.

Nestled inside Westfield Sydney shopping centre, located on the corner of Market Street and Pitt Street Mall, the new Sydney boutique covers 130 square metres over a single floor and boasts the brand's complete fashion and accessories collections.

The store facade boasts Calacatta marble and burnished brass, alongside grey marble, punctuated by two large display windows. Inside, the European alpine brand's 'haute-montagne' design can be seen throughout, featuring more grey marble and black trim.

Meanwhile, the Franco-Italian Moncler continues to expand its retail channel throughout the Asia-Pacific Region in 2019. The Sydney store opening follows the debut of Moncler's biggest APAC store in Singapore on January 23.

Located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, the APAC flagship covers a total area of 521 square metres and is spread across two floors. The boutique interior design is the result of Moncler’s collaboration with Gwenael Nicolas, French designer and founder of the Curiosity design studio, who continues to revamp Moncler's retail network.

Founded in Grenoble, France, in 1952, Moncler is now headquartered in Italy with Remi Ruffini at the helm as CEO since 2003.

Over the years, the brand has become known for its luxury down jackets and aprés-ski style clothing and accessories.

Today, Moncler manufactures and sells its clothing and accessories through its boutiques and in exclusive international department stores and multi-brand outlets.

For the nine months ending September 30, 2018, the luxury outerwear maker posted an 18 percent rise in January-September sales.

Minus currency impacts, sales rose 23 percent for the period, helped by mass growth in Asia.
