Following years in the denim industry, Sarah Ahmed has launched a new line of jeans. Called Warp + Weft, the new denim brand offers a wide range of sizes in modern styles, all under $100.

Before launching her own line, Ahmed was creative director of New York denim brand DL1961. Ahmed, whose family owns one of the largest textile mills in the world, drew upon both her familial background and experience at DL1961 to see there was a void missing in the denim world for both affordable, stylish denim, as well as fashionable pieces for women above a size 14.

To meet that gap in the market, all Warp + Weft jeans are available from sizes 0-24 for women, and 28-40 for men. Taking advantage of her connections to the textile industry, Ahmed was able to vertically integrate her business. As the Warp + Weft products are sold directly from the manufacturer to the consumer, Ahmed is also able to keep the prices low. All pieces come in at under $100, with shorts selling for $64.

The line includes all manner of cuts and styles including skinny jeans, boot cut jeans, straight-legged pants and cutoffs, all manufactured with a bit of stretch. Ahmed, who calls herself a world traveler, named all the styles after major airports, including Charles De Gaulle and John F. Kennedy.

The Warp + Weft line is available on the brand’s online shop, though Ahmed plans to open a series of pop-up shops in the fall.
