High-end U.S. retailer Nordstrom has announced that it will be adding British menswear brand Oliver Spencer to its assortment of menswear, beginning this month.

The brand, which showed an In the Mood for Love-inspired Spring/Summer 2020 collection this past June in London, will be stocked inside five Nordstrom locations. At first launch, the Oliver Spencer AW19 collection will be available at Nordstrom stores in Seattle, Chicago and New York, as well as at two Los Angeles stores.

“Oliver Spencer creates modern, environmentally-sustainable sportswear that is very easy for customers to adopt and add to their wardrobe,” said Tina Aniversario, Nordstrom vice president and divisional merchandise manager for men’s sportswear. “He has a very distinct point of view and adds his own unique touch to each piece through the use of color, texture or stitching.”

The latest addition to Nordstrom’s menswear lineup comes as the retailer pushes forward with a broad strategy to appeal to a new wave of millennial male shoppers, through the opening of its first men’s flagship in New York City to its 'New Concepts at Nordstrom Men initiative.’

Outside of its men’s category, Nordstrom has made efforts to cater to changing consumer habits through the announcement of an additional massive flagship in NYC set to open in October, as well as the launch of a new ‘Sustainable Style’ category online.

Last month, the retailer reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit thanks to cost-cutting and cleared inventory, sending shares up 10% in extended trading.

Nordstrom reported that its digital sales rose 4% for the second quarter ended Aug. 3, although weaker sales at both its full-price department stores and off-price Nordstrom Rack stores caused total revenue to drop down 5% to $3.87 billion.
