Old friends reunite for Chloé's new Fall / Winter 15 campaign

Chloé is celebrating friendship this autumn with its new Fall-Winter 2015 campaign.

The French fashion house is paying homage to its heritage with the campaign, referencing the time in 1952 when founder Gaby Aghion borrowed her friend's name to launch the brand.

Starring friends and colleagues the Polish model Anja Rubik and German beauty Julia Stegner, who last featured in a Chloé ad together 10 years ago, the campaign sees the women walking arm-in-arm through the tree-lined alleys of the iconic Parisian Luxembourg gardens.

The pair "share stories" against the backdrop of classical French architecture and nature in the fall, with Rubik's strong features reflecting the boyish touch of the season and Stegner's feminine grace capturing the softer spirit of the house and the new collection's fluid silhouettes. The shoot, captured by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, was inspired by the early 20th century English intellectual set the Bloomsbury Group but also incorporates the elegance of Paris in the wintertime.

The clothes represent this combination of boyishness and femininity, with floral crêpe and silk velvet featuring heavily, combined with slim, masculine tailoring. The tasseled suede ‘Hudson' bag and the smooth ‘Hayley' purse take center stage.

"This season I wanted the Chloé girl to play between a bolder, boyish sensuality and the sweet, femininity that defined the eclectic sisterhood of the Bloomsbury girls," says Creative Director Clare Waight Keller. "For me, Anja and Julia define the modern spirit of Chloé girls who even 10 years on are as stunningly fresh and youthful as their first campaign together."

Chloé isn't the only label putting the focus on friendship this fall -- earlier this week Tiffany & Co. unveiled three new diamond jewelry collections inspired by the "cherished connections between friends and loved ones."
