OpenMyMed announces competition laureates
The Maison Méditerranéenne Des Métiers De La Mode (MMMM) is pursuing its mission to support young designers. For the 7th consecutive year, it has revealed the young labels who will receive support for a full year in the form of brand strategy, communication and trade. This year, the event is even bigger. Rebranded as the OpenMyMed prize, the competition will select 20 laureates.
The competition will select ten young designers from Marseilles, France and its surrounding region, and as MMMM tradition would have it, ten from the Mediterranean countries. Among the laureates from the Mediterranean countries, the group has selected fashion houses, Amine Bendriouich (Morocco), Artem Atelier (Spain), Dioralop (Croatia), Ece Özalp (Turkey), Eliran Nargassi (Israel), Nour Najem (Lebanon), Hannah (Israel) Okhtein (Egypt), Petja Zorec (Slovenia), Susana Bettencourt (Portugal), but also two French brands not from Marseille; Erin Adamson and Le Feuillet.
From Marseilles, they selected this year, Les Candides Joaillerie Sauvage, Il Etait Un Fil, Les Méduses Vertes, Massalia, My Jeweler is W, No Season Atelier, Noa-Kis and Noëlle Praticci-Roux.
This huge competition accepts a wide variety of applications, including men’s fashion, French ready-to-wear and high-end lines, as well as accessories like jewellery and shoes. As well as receiving mentoring from MMMM, the laureates will also benefit from serious press time, thanks to the agency RP Les Nouvelles.
