Oxford Westgate signs power brands: Mint Velvet, JD Sports, Gant, Guess and more

A host of new retailers have signed up to open stores at Land Securities’ £440m Westgate shopping centre development in Oxford.

The 800,000 sq ft retail scheme is due to open its doors to the public in October 2017 with more than 100 retailers and 25 restaurants and cafés.

The retailers just announced include premium women’s clothing boutique Mint Velvet, sportswear retailer JD Sports, Swedish clothing brand Gant and ethical cosmetics retailer Lush, as well as British beauty company The Body Shop, beauty brand Smashbox, tea retailer T2, premium denim label Guess, Hotel Chocolat and local Oxford retailer Burrows+Hare.

Children's clothing retailer Trotters, Accessorize, Lush and Aveda are also joining the line-up.

Located in the heart of Oxford city, Westgate will be anchored by a 140,000 sq ft John Lewis department store and will house premium and high street brands including Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin, H&M, Russell & Bromley and Victoria’s Secret Pink.

The transformation is being led by Westgate Oxford Alliance, a joint venture between Land Securities and The Crown Estate.
