Pepe Jeans has a new focus on India and recently appointed its first ever Indian brand ambassador, Sidharth Malhotra, who stars in an India-exclusive spring/ summer 2018 campaign. The brand also launched an athleisure product category in India and will now focus on store openings in the country.

“We are planning to open about 40-50 stores in the next 2-3 years across the country,” said the Head of Marketing for Pepe Jeans India, Neha Shah. The business will also work to strengthen its omnichannel strategy and plans to open its own e-commerce store in the near future.

When describing Pepe’s current business operations in India, Shah said: “The marketing strategies play a big role, when it comes to targeting customers in specific regions as well as creating awareness for the brand. It is essential to be aware of the cities that are gaining momentum because of real estate development; it’s only a matter of time till investors understand the market dynamics and returns they generate; thereby making them the future of retail."

Pepe Jeans is present in all key metros as well as tier II and tier III cities across 234 exclusive brand outlets, over 1350 multi-brand outlets and 503 large format stores all over India.

Pepe Jeans also retails through popular online platforms such as Myntra, Amazon, Jabong, Ajio and Cilory.
