Perry Ellis International, Inc. has entered into a licensing deal with Cia. Mexicana de Trajes, S.A. de C.V. for the design and distribution of Original Penguin tailored apparel in Mexico beginning this fall.

Cia. Mexicana de Trajes is a long-term partner of Perry Ellis International - Original Penguin

The licensing agreement grants Cia. Mexicana de Trajes the rights to design and sell a collection under the Original Penguin brand. The collection will include suits, sport coats, tuxedos, overcoats, raincoats, vests and trousers.

Oscar Feldenkreis, CEO and President of Perry Ellis International, said the licensing deal would offer the Mexican market "innovative products that are styled, designed and infused with premium fabrics and construction."

Cia. Mexicana de Trajes is a Mexican manufacturer of tailored clothing. It has been in business for thirty years and has a production capacity of 800 suits and 2,000 trousers per day. The company is a longtime partner with Perry Ellis International, having worked with the company for twenty years.

The collection is expected to launch Fall 2018. It will be sold at department stores and upscale specialty shops in Mexico.
