Yoox Net-A-Porter has named Philippe Larrieu as its Regional General Manager for Japan. The news came on Wednesday just a day after the business had announced its new global interim CEO, Alison Loehnis.

In the role, he’ll oversee the business operations of Net-A-Porter, Mr Porter, The Outnet and Yoox in the key Asian market, “driving the continued market growth of the four multi-brand online stores and providing customers with an evermore localised experience”.

Joining immediately, he reports directly to Paolo Mascio, Chief Regional Officer.

The company said Larrieu “has a wealth of commercial experience in the luxury, fashion and cosmetics industries”. He joins from Clarins, where he was President & Representative Director for Japan, “contributing to the growth of the brand in the local market, and enhancing its e-commerce presence”.

The French native started his career in Asia Pacific region 30 years ago, where he held management roles at a number of big names, including Chanel and L’Oréal.

He’s spent 15 years in Japan, “giving him deep knowledge of the local customer, trends and culture, which will be key to driving [YNAP’s] localised approach”.
