In 2015, Odile Roujol stepped down from her role as chief strategy and data officer at French telecommunications group Orange. She has an impressive career track record with major French consumer goods and services groups. After stints at Bourjois and Saint Laurent Beauté, Roujol worked at L'Oréal for over 13 years, including nearly five years as president and CEO of Lancôme International.

The next career leap could have taken her to another major group, but instead she took on a new challenge. In the latest French-language episode of the LuxurynsightXFashionNetwork podcast series, Roujol retraces her journey and explains why she decided to leave Paris to move to Silicon Valley.

Roujol portrays the business world she plunged herself into, discovering local eco-systems and taking on the role of business angel. In the podcast, she explains why she founded the FAB co-creation studio, a community that supports young beauty entrepreneurs from the US West Coast and around the world. She also puts forward her views about the winning skillsets and brand content, major innovations, opportunities and main trends shaping this booming industry.
