Paris trade show Première Vision will not be staged physically this season, but on February 15-19 it will hold a virtual event labelled ‘Digital Show’, featuring a revamped e-marketplace. The event will also include a programme of online conferences whose guest speakers, both industry experts and sector specialists, will discuss today’s trends and challenges.

Virtual sourcing will be the theme discussed by Julien Pajot (senior product design consultant at XL Conseil) and Gilles Lasbordes (managing director of Première Vision), while Céline Semaan Vernon (of Slow Factory Foundation) and Seetal Solanki (of Ma-tt-er) will analyse the impact of natural materials.

Elisabetta Baronio (in charge of sustainability at Timberland EMEA), Arizona Muse (environmental activist and sustainable development consultant) and Nina Marenzi (of The Sustainable Angle & Future Fabrics Expo) will tackle the issue of climate change and regenerative fashion. Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen (head of sustainability, materials and innovation at Bestseller) and Johannes Stefan (sales director Europe, America and Turkey at Lenzing) will discuss circular fashion, a theme that will also be covered by Fabrizio Tesi of Comistra.

The way in which fashion designers are adapting to new challenges will be discussed by designer Charaf Tajer (whose Casablanca label is a finalist at the International Woolmark Prize 2021), and Emily Bode (winner of the International Woolmark Innovation prize 2020).

Gildas Minvielle, director of the French Fashion Institute’s Economic Observatory, will analyse new data on how distributors are tweaking their sourcing strategies. Finally, Vladimir Djurovic (CEO of Labbrand) and Luc Buono (of Luc Buono Consulting) will focus on the lessons learnt from the Chinese model and its impact on brands.

Throughout the week, Première Vision's staff will lead several ‘Trend Tasting’ fashion webinars, dedicated to the seasonal colour palette for Spring/Summer 2022. These webinars, like all the conferences, will be accessible after registering on the Première Vision website.
