Spanish bridal company Pronovias has announced it will donate wedding dresses to frontline healthcare workers combatting the coronavirus outbreak.

The Heroes Collection - Pronovias Group

The initiative first launched in China earlier this year to support hospital-employed brides-to-be during the global health emergency. On 19 March, the Barcelona-based business said the project was being extended to multiple countries across the world.

This means hospital workers including doctors, nurses, security and cafe staff will have the option to receive a wedding gown for free as a way to celebrate “their extraordinary and selfless dedication”.

A series of dresses has been selected by artistic director Alessandra Rinaudo to form the Heroes Collection. She said:”It is an honor to show my support and raise awareness for all of these women doing their best to overcome this pandemic. Love will conquer all.”

Amandine Ohayon, chief executive of Pronovias, said the initiative aims to show the group’s gratitude to “these heroines in hospitals around the world”. She added: “Donating our wedding dresses to wonderful women is the least we can do.”
