Raffaello Napoleone, interim chairman of Yoox?

Raffaello Napoleone may soon become the chairman of Yoox. The managing director of the trade show organizer Pitti Immagine has been included on the list of candidates proposed by the Italian online fashion sales website for its upcoming board of directors elections on April 30. 

In the document, the group has clearly indicates that if elected by the assembly, which is now the case, Raffaello Napoleone "would be proposed as chairman of the company."

Napoleone should thereby soon be assisting Yoox’s founder and current CEO, Federico Marchetti, until the merger between the Italian e-shop and Net-A-Porter, currently owned by Swiss luxury group Richemont, which should result next fall in the luxury e-commerce colossus Yoox Net-A-Porter Group.

The merger between the two sites should be completed in September. By that time, a new board will be elected, including 12 to 14 members: 6 from the Yoox board, 2 appointed by Richemont, 2-4 independent directors, Federico Marchetti as CEO, and Net-A-Porter’s founder, Natalie Massenet, as executive chair.

Besides Raffaello Napoleone’s nomination as independent director, the current list of candidates submitted by Yoox for its next board includes Federico Marchetti, Stefano Valerio (financial lawyer), Campari CEO Robert Kunze-Concewitz (independent), Laura Zoni, professor at the SDA Bocconi university in Milan, (independent), Paule Ka CEO Catherine Vautrin Gérardin (independent) and Massimo Mario Giaconia (independent).
