Ralph Lauren is championing women who champion women with a new, star-studded video.

The luxury fashion label has recruited Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain to star in the latest edition of its ‘Lead Like a Woman' three-part video series. The initiative, which first was launched by Ralph Lauren Eau de Parfum back in May, explores the idea of female leadership with a host of successful women from myriad industries, in an attempt to "close the leadership gap between women and men."

The new video sees the brand introduce a ‘Sisterhood of Leaders,' and tackles the myth that women do not support one another. "Everytime I'm lucky enough to be on a film with other actresses and female directors, it's been such an incredible set to be on," Chastain tells the camera. The rest of the cast, which includes high flyers such as chef Dominique Crenn, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer and producer Stephanie Allain, also offer up stories regarding their own experiences of working with women and discussing the importance of female support.

Ralph Lauren is not the only major beauty and fashion brand focusing on women's issues at the moment. Earlier this month, skincare giant Dove unveiled its new ‘Girl Collective' concept, a ‘multigenerational sisterhood' that aims to challenge beauty stereotypes through honest, authentic and practical conversations. Meanwhile, Rimmel recently recruited Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora to front a new campaign with the Cybersmile Foundation that seeks to tackle the issue of cyberbullying amongst young women and girls, and Bioré Skincare has been working with the UN initiative ‘Girl Up' to tackle illiteracy rates in young women across the globe.
