Reebok has partnered with visual artist and illustrator Distortedd—also known as Anhia Zaira Santana—for a new, graphic version of the brand’s popular Instapump Fury sneaker model.
Launched on January 7, the sneaker collab marks the latest phase of Reebok’s ‘It’s A Man’s World’ campaign, which focuses on celebrating women leading successful careers in traditionally male-dominated industries. Using the shoe as a canvas, the special Instapump Fury features a Distortedd illustration that the artist said was inspired by skate culture, graffiti and her favorite childhood cartoons.
“As a kid I was always obsessed with cartoons,” Santana said. “I used to just sit in my room and draw cartoon characters. In Philly I hung out with a lot of graffiti artists and skaters. There’s a cool underground scene there that’s really slept on.”
The Reebok x Distortedd ‘It’s A Man’s World’ Instapump Fury is available in both men’s and women’s sizes at www.Reebok.com/IAMW. The shoe retails at $180.
The Distortedd partnership marks the latest collaboration for Reebok in recent months, following its collaboration with Adidas this past September and a Tom & Jerry-themed capsule with Warner Bros in December.
