Robbie Williams to kick off Marc O'Polo’s 50th anniversary celebrations in Munich

Premium German brand Marc O'Polo announced in January that it would celebrate its 50th anniversary in collaboration with British singer and designer Robbie Williams and has now unveiled further details about their partnership. Robbie Williams is to personally present in Munich his Special Sweatshirt Edition for men and woman at a Marc O'Polo store on 6 July.

The musician shared a video on Instagram of himself and his wife Ayda captioned: “A confident man wears pink! Can’t wait to present my 50th anniversary sweater edition with #marcopolo on Thursday in Munich... #MOPxRobbie #MOP50"

The video shows Williams and his wife discussing whether men can wear pink. They both wear pieces from his new collection for Marc O'Polo, including a grey zip up sweatshirt and a matching hoodie dress.

The former Take That member is currently touring Europe to support his eleventh album, The Heavy Entertainment Show. He broke the news about his collaboration with Marc O'Polo in January with a video on Instagram that read “Happy about my own Special Edition by Marc O'Polo for their 50th Anniversary ... Can't wait for it to be in stores this summer!"

The campaign for the collection was shot by photographer Peter Lindbergh in a house near the Thames in London. The images will be released together with the collection on 6 July.

On the same day, the German clothing brand will also hold a major fashion festival at its headquarters in Stephanskirchen. The label’s Spring Summer 2018 collection will be presented to more than 2,000 guests amid good music and food.

The brand was founded in 1967 in Stockholm and is now based in Germany. It has more than 2,000 employees worldwide and a presence in more than 30 countries.

Robbie Williams’ collection for Marc O'Polo will be available exclusively at Marc O'Polo stores and online.
