The latest big name to take up residence in the Selfridges Corner Shop in London is Elton John with the takeover starting this week and running into mid-April.

The space has been transformed by Selfridges and Bravado to reflect the star’s universe with pieces from his archive available to shop or simply view. The offer includes exclusive memorabilia, archival stage looks, music and more.

Elton John said that “we’ve come up with something special that celebrates the things I love – fashion, vinyl, music, food and some beautiful design. I hope my fans love it as much as I do.”

It comes just ahead of the start of Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which begins in Liverpool next month.

Product-wise, tour merchandise is very much to the fore in the Corner Shop. There are framed prints of famous Elton John shows, Farewell Yellow Brick Road cover art, costumes such as the designer Nudie Cohn rhinestone suit and Annie Reavey and Bill Whitten's Workroom 27 outfits, plus other tour pieces.

The offer also includes exclusive collabs such as the More Elton collection Christopher Kane’s More Joy label and a reissued Richard James suit.

And celebrating the Honky Chateau 50th Anniversary Edition that’s released on Friday, the Corner Shop will be the only physical retailer carrying a limited-edition gold LP. Some 100 copies have been signed by Elton John.
