Sies Marjan to launch men's collection at NYFW
Sies Marjan continues to flourish. The young women's ready-to-wear brand known for its New York chic already counts several celebrities in its following. Launched by designer Sander Lak in February 2016, the brand is gearing up to make another splash at New York Fashion Week, where it has been showing for three seasons.
Backed by investor Nancy Marks, Sies Marjan has just released an advertising campaign signed by star photographer Bruce Weber and headlined by actress and icon Isabella Rossellini.
The campaign features the fall-winter 2017/18 collection in a series of photos shot in the lush Hamptons landscape some two hours from Manhattan, a series of casual portraits of friends and family.
Isabella Rossellini is photographed with her son Roberto and Russian top-model Sasha Pivovarova, her daughter Mia, model Lexi Boling and her boyfriend, and even the designer Sander Lak! The images exude a bucolic, relaxed atmosphere and a dash of exotic. The brand’s trademark colors shimmer and sparkle, blurring with the vegetation. The clothes are airy and flowing.
Everyone, of course, is wearing Sies Marjan. The campaign also features the first look at the brand's new men's collection. Dutch designer Sander Lak, who spent five years at Dries Van Noten, has now decided to extend his world to menswear with a 15-piece capsule collection, available November 1 in a selection of multi-brand boutiques. The brand already launched a women's shoe collection last season, helping drive Sies Marjan's growth, which now boasts a network of over 40 stores.
