Skechers opens first new store in Madrid

Skechers has opened its first store in Central Madrid. Located at 16 Arenal Street, the store features 83 sq m of retail space, as well as a stockroom housing 7,000 footwear pieces.

This is the fifth Skechers stores in Madrid, where it has been present with standalone locations since opening the first branch at Xanadu in 2013. The brand has also two outlet stores at The Style Outlets in Las Rozas, as well as in Getafe.

It launched a new outlet store in Barcelona this year and operates further stores in Sevilla and Tenerife.

Additionally, seven further stores are operated under a franchise agreement in Spain, including stores in Barcelona, Vizcaya, Madrid, Santiago de Compostela and Bilbao.  

The footwear brand offers more than 3,000 styles for men, women and children through its two shoe lines, one focused on lifestyle pieces and another driven by performance, which includes the Skechers GOrun and Skechers GOwalk trainers, among other.

Founded in 1992, the US brand has a large presence in Spain through multi-brand retailers. The company has 12 subsidiaries and an international presence in 160 countries.
