As of September 1, Smiley will have a couple new faces added to its management. "I’m really pleased to have found two talents who both have a high level understanding of style and of the licensing industry,” said Nicolas Loufrani, CEO of Smiley. “Our role at Smiley is not to sell only licenses, but to market great products in partnership with licensees."

Salvatore Zingrillo and David Fox.

David Fox has been appointed head of design. Previously, Fox worked as creative director at Walt Disney, vice president design at The Gap’s Old Navy division and a creative marketing director for Espirit’s EDC division.

Zingrillo Salvatore, the other new hire, has spent a few years with Hello Kitty. Recently, he was marketing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Sanrio, the company that controls Hello Kitty’s image. He oversaw collaborations with Liberty, Barbour and Kiss. Before that, he has worked at MTV and Diesel. Now, he has been appointed global brand director of fashion.
