The store, founded by sisters Kinam and Jung Eun Jung, is meant to offer a curated assortment of affordable basics. Kinam tells Vogue, "Rather than the clothes sewn at factories in mass, we chose unique, covetable items."

She adds, "We also had to introduce [the customer] to what a concept shop is—that each hanger might have a different brand—and build that awareness.”

Brooklyn's A Land will stock the standard men's and women's apparel which is all affordably priced under $100 a piece. Leather goods, whimsical accessories, fanny packs, hats and socks will also sell in store along with house goods and curated beauty products.

“Customers don’t come to Aland simply to buy something. We think of it as a place for designers to share their unique point of view," explains Kinam.

The Brooklyn store is A Land's 19th retail location it has opened in its twelve years of business. The company reportedly signed a 10 year lease for its space in Williamsburg and plans to discover up and coming Brooklyn designers to offer a localized and integrated experience.

A Land Brooklyn is now open. It is located at 92 N. 6th Street, Brooklyn, NY.
