The Germany founded company's new store is located on the first floor of its recently opened headquarters and features an extensive collection of timepieces, watch bands, jewelry, accessories and a selection of carefully curated watch brands.

The store, which Speidel said is its "first service-oriented retail store,"  also offers on-site personalized engraving as well as a watch repair center, which offers visitors watch repair services.

Founded in 1867 by watchmaker Fredrich Speidel, the German company relocated to the U.S. in 1912, and opened its first headquarters, on Ship Street in Providence, Rhode Island.

In 2009, Cerce Capital acquired Speidel, which saw the watchmaking sell via independent jewelers, as well as direct sales to consumers. In 2022, Speidel's headquarters relocated to 145 Wayland Avenue, where its second floor serves as its corporate offices, above the new store and repair center.

"It was important for us to open a brick-and-mortar location so our Rhode Island community and customers could shop personally for our products and experience firsthand our exceptional customer service," said Gennaro Cerce, CEO of Speidel.

"It has been heartwarming and gratifying to hear members of our Rhode Island community share their own memories of Speidel as well as those of previous generations when they visit the store."
