Womenswear label Tara Jarmon has written a new chapter in its story. After being acquired last September by private equity firm AMS Industries , which belongs to Jean-Paul Bize, the accessible luxury label founded in 1986 has now welcomed Colombe Campana as its new Creative Director. Campana takes over from Canadian designer Tara Jarmon, who will no longer supervise the label's collections, as she did for the last 30 years.

Colombe Campna, 35, started in her new role on 1st March. She is a graduate of the Studio Berçot fashion design academy in Paris, and formerly worked at the Paris design studio of the &Other Stories label, belonging to the H&M group. &Other Stories was launched in 2013, and Colombe was instrumental in its development, having previously worked at Capucine Puerari, Sonia Rykiel and Claudie Pierlot.

"Tara Jarmon has decided to focus on other projects and is keen to hand over the baton, stated the fashion label. Colombe Campana's mission will be to breathe new energy into the brand. She will collaborate with the design team and the ateliers of this bijou Parisian couture label, and she will preserve the Tara Jarmon spirit, while at the same time making its style even more contemporary. It will remain daring and sassy, and will keep its everyday look."

The label's management team, lead by General Manager Francis Varesano, has set itself the objective of doubling the brand's revenue, currently estimated at €50 million, in the next five years, notably by boosting its international presence.
