The Kooples is teaming up with Puma. In the quest to produce a best-selling sneaker, the men's and womenswear brand has tapped the German sports brand for a limited-edition release, taking a classic sneaker and giving it a rock 'n' roll edge.

The Puma X The Kooples campaign - The Kooples

Released June 5, the special edition shoe has been modelled on Puma's Clyde sneaker, inspired by 1970's basketball star Walt "Clyde" Frazier. The sneaker is unisex, a natural fit considering the Parisian brand's penchant for dressing couples, thus 'The Kooples' name. The brand has also affixed its signature rock motif, adding to the heal of the sneaker a small metallic skull.

Available in black or white monochrome, the leather sneakers boast a small perforated detail and textured sole, to retain the classic sports design. The sneakers will sell for a "premium" price, given the brands involved, and will retail for more than the original Clyde sneaker, at 150 euros.

The collaboration will be exclusively stocked via The Kooples in store and online.
