The Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize goes international
This year’s Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize will be welcoming talent from the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Italy and the United States. French design duo Augustin Teboul took home the prize last year. The Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize recently hosted a string of elaborate launch parties at its different hotels, taking the occasion to present its various panels of VIP judges.
From Paris are Lorenz Baumer (Louis Vuitton), Pamela Golbin and Kappauf. Launch events have already taken place announcing judges in the UK: Daniella Helayel, Caroline Issa (Tank Magazine), hatmaker Stephen Jones and designers Nicholas Oakwell, Rupert Sanderson, and Stephen Webster; Italy: Fabia Di Drusco, Vivia Ferragamo, Guglielmo Miani and Margherita Perico; the US: editor Derek Blasberg, Catherine Bloom, Penny Lovell and Gelila Puck and Switzerland: Frederic Aranda, Laurence Desbordes and Jean-Pierre Greff.
Juries will meet for the final in Paris on October 29 in order to choose the winner of the 25,000 pound prize fund. Young designers with between two and five years’ experience are welcome to submit their application on the Dorchester Collection website.
