The Estée Lauder group invests in South Korean company Have & Be Co.
Estée Lauder is showing a keen interest in South Korean beauty expertise. The American cosmetics group has acquired a share in the stock of South Korean company Have & Be Co., owner of skincare brands Dr Jart+ and Do The Right Thing. Details of the deal have not been disclosed but it should be finalised in the month of December. "Consumers the world over consider Korea a country where beauty trends are created (...)," explained William P. Lauder, Executive President of the Estée Lauder group.
Launched in 2005 by Chinwook Lee, Dr Jart+ is a skincare brand sold chiefly in Asia and the USA, available at department stores and specialists stores like Sephora. Do The Right Thing was founded in 2012 and is focused on men's skincare. The brand is available in South Korea and the USA, chiefly through Birchbox Man.
Recently, Estée Lauder acquired Glamglow, a Hollywood brand that specialises in face masks, as well as Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle.
