TheDoubleF launches collaboration with Off-White
TheDoubleF has tapped Off-White for an exclusive collaboration. The fashion e-tailer, launched less than a year ago by Italian multibrand retailer Folli Follie, has very clear ambitions: “Making thedoublef.com one of the most exclusive e-stores on the fashion scene.”
Hence, the decision to team up with Virgil Abloh’s label, which Folli Follie has been distributing for several seasons, as the first in a series of exclusive collaborations with the most sought-after contemporary designers.
The American designer, whose label Off-White’s Instagram followers hit the 4 million mark in four years, and who is also the Creative Director of Louis Vuitton Homme, has designed a seven-item, unisex streetwear mini collection for the Italian fashion website, which will be available from Wednesday July 11.
The collection includes sweaters, a t-shirt, a sport jacket, jeans, a hat and a belt. The launch campaign was lensed by photographer Piotr Niepsuj in a post-industrial location in the centre of Milan, where TheDoubleF is based since last year.
“We believe in collaborations because they are an essential element to diversify on the market. And who better than Virgil Abloh to start off our series of exclusive collaborations,” said Francesco Galli, the man in charge of the Folli Follie family company which, besides the e-store, operates eight Folli Follie multibrand stores in Italy.
TheDoubleF features a selection of about 150 menswear and womenswear labels, a range which enabled it to step outside Italy and reach new markets such as Asia, the USA and, in Europe, France and the UK in particular.
In addition to Off-White, the group distributes Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Marcelo Burlon and Ukrainian milliner Ruslan Baginskiy, among other brands.
