Thomas Sabo signs up Rita Ora as global brand ambassador
English singer-songwriter Rita Ora has been recruited to be the new global brand ambassador for Thomas Sabo for the next two years. As part of the partnership, Ora will star in the German jewellery brand’s Autumn Winter 2019 campaign.
The pop superstar has been busy endorsing several brands in the past few months, working with Guiseppe Zanotti on a shoe collection and promoting German luxury brand Escada’s Heart bag in its Spring 2019 campaign.
Thomas Sabo is the third German retailer to tap Ora in the past year, following Escada and low-cost footwear retailer Deichmann, which is releasing a shoe collection curated by the British musician in August.
Interestingly, Rita Ora made headlines in Germany in 2017 when she made a surprise guest appearance on The Voice in Germany, but judges on the show failed to recognise her.
But she is very well known in the UK, a market that is of growing importance for both Deichmann and Thomas Sabo.
Speaking about her new collaboration with Thomas Sabo, Rita Ora said: “My Thomas Sabo campaign aims to empower women to experience this magical boost of jewellery and to inspire other women to create personal looks full of energy and liveliness.”
The campaign shot by American artist and photographer Cass Bird shows a range of statement necklaces and bracelets that will hit stores from 15 July.
