Tom Tailor Group launches online shop in Switzerland

Tom Tailor, which appears to be close to refinancing its loans following an agreement with majority shareholder Fosun and the banks, is moving forward with its digital expansion plans with the launch of an online in Switzerland.
The company has been scaling its digital activities in-house as a strategic focus since the end of 2017.
The Swiss online shop is hosted on the same platform as the e-commerce sites for other European countries, thus benefiting from the in-house optimisations achieved over the past 18 months, Tom Tailor said in a statement.
“Our digital business has been developing well. In the second quarter alone, we have been able to scale our Tom Tailor e-shops with an increase of 26% substantially above market level. Switzerland is an attractive online market for us, where we see high brand recognition through our wholesale and retail activities,” said Stefan Wenzel, global vice president digital at Tom Tailor.
The in-house developed e-commerce shops use state-of-the-art technology to offer a higher degree of personalisation, product recommendations and social media integration, including direct links to the product catalogue.
Tom Tailor also considers the e-shops as crucial in the development of its brand identity, and is dedicating significant efforts to content and visual language to support the user experience.
"All Tom Tailor e-shops offer the greatest possible range with best staging and curation to our customers,” Stefan Wenzel continued.
Tom Tailor has 454 retail stores and 185 franchise locations, as well as 2,541 concessions. The brand has also 7,393 stockists and a presence in around 32 countries.
