Yet another promotion for an executive from Bottega Veneta! Kering continues to reorganize the leadership of its luxury brands, which are overseen by Marco Bizzarri, the new head of the “Couture & Leather Goods” division and the former CEO of Bottega Veneta.

The group has named Giuseppe Giovannetti CEO of Tomas Maier, the ready-to-wear brand specialized in swim and knitwear founded in 1997 in the United States by the German designer, who has also served as the creative director of Bottega Veneta since 2001.

Giuseppe Giovanetti knows Tomas Maier quite well, since they have already worked together at Bottega Veneta. He joined Kering in 2001, occupying strategic positions at the Italian label, including CFO for the United States for more than five years before being promoted to president of the Americas for Bottega Veneta in 2011.

He will take up his post as CEO of Tomas Maier beginning on Monday, November 3 and will report to his former boss, Marco Bizzarri.

Giovanetti succeeds Daniela Ott, who left the brand "for personal reasons", according to the group. She oversaw the launch of the joint venture in November 2013 between designer Tomas Maier and Kering, which acquired a stake in the brand in order to support its development.

The brand itself, meanwhile, has just opened a store in New York on Madison Avenue and will open others in the coming months.
