G-III owns many fashion licenses already, including licenses for Guess?, Cole Haan, Levi’s, Karl Lagerfeld, and PVH Corp’s own Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole. It already had a portion of Tommy Hilfiger business through a previous license to produce dresses, men’s and women’s outerwear, and luggage.

Emanuel Chirico, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, PVH Corp., commented, “An expanded partnership with G-III represents a significant opportunity to leverage their market expertise to drive the continued expansion of the Tommy Hilfiger women’s apparel categories.”

With an initial term of 5 years, and a subsequent 4-year renewal option, the new licensing deal is aligned with PVH’s goals to expand Hilfiger business across the US and Canada. It will add suit separates, performance, and denim to the existing Hilfiger categories G-III already runs.

Daniel Grieder, Chief Executive Officer, Tommy Hilfiger, commented, “Our women’s collections are a key area of focus and a high-potential growth category for our brand worldwide… We are confident that a partnership with G-III will unlock the great potential we see for our women’s collections in the U.S. and Canada and support our strategy of elevating our brand positioning.”

Macy’s will continue to be the primary retailer of Hilfiger products, and it will be the exclusive retailer of Hilfiger sportswear. Product developed and created out of the new licensing deal will be available for consumers to buy starting Holiday 2016.
