Current Tommy Hilfiger CEO Fred Gehring entered into a new employment agreement with PVH in July that would see him transition to the role of chairman of Tommy Hilfiger and vice chairman of PVH Corp between mid-2014 and mid-2016. Today, the brand has announced that Gehring will move on before the end of the company’s fiscal year 2014. Taking over as CEO at Hilfiger in 2006, Gehring helped orchestrate the American brand’s entry into the European market in 1997.

Taking over as chief executive officer at Tommy Hilfiger is Daniel Grieder, who has also been with the brand since its launch into the European market, notably guiding the brand in Austria and Switzerland, his country of origin. In 2008 he was appointed CEO of Tommy Hilfiger Europe before ascending to the role of chief executive officer of PVH Europe in February this year following the acquisition of Warnaco, which saw brand Calvin Klein join PVH Corp.

As part of the continued integration and development of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein in Europe, PVH has announced the appointment of two senior executives. Peter Schalgboehmer - who, after joining Tommy Hilfige 2007, was named senior vice president of retail in Europe in 2010 – has been appointed to the role of President/Brand Management at Tommy Hilfiger Europe. Assuming the same role at Calvin Klein is Iris Epple, formerly general merchandise manager at the company. Both will report to Daniel Grieder.
