Tommy Hilfiger x Lewis Hamilton reveal surprise H.E.R. collaboration
PVH Corp.'s Tommy Hilfiger has announced a surprise collaboration with Formula 1 champion, Lewis Hamilton, and Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter, H.E.R.
Dubbed 'TommyXLewisXH.E.R', the capsule collection brings a new spin to the works of Tommy Hilfiger and Lewis Hamilton, who are now in their fourth season as collaborators. Reflecting both PVH and Tommy Hilfiger's prior sustainability-focused efforts and initiatives -- which include the incorporation of 3-D design and the announcement of scientifically-backed greenhouse gas reduction targets -- the new capsule features sustainable elements in over 75% of the collection, including 100% organic cotton.
Designed with a monochromatic color palette with accents of neon yellow, blue, orange and red, the capsule's pieces are further decorated with Tommy Hilfiger's signature flag logo and graffiti-style 'Loyalty' prints.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity and freedom that Tommy and Lewis gave me to infuse my personal vision and aesthetic into the TommyXLewis collection,” said H.E.R. “We are united in the belief that fashion should be for everyone, so putting inclusivity at the heart of the capsule was a no-brainer.”
The TommyXLewisXH.E.R pieces will premiere alongside the Spring 2020 TommyXLewis collection and Hilfiger Collection for men and women at the 'TommyNow' show -- the traveling experiential runway event with a 'see now, buy now' format first launched by Tommy Hilfiger for Fall 2016. The show is scheduled for February 16, at Tate Modern, The Tanks in London.
“Through TommyNow, we continue to the push boundaries of what fashion on the runway can look like in terms of the dialogue it supports, the experience it provides and the change it can inspire,” said Tommy Hilfiger.
“Our ‘see now, buy now’ platform has evolved into a stage for artists to express their creativity and values. With H.E.R.’s relentless drive to inspire new generations to be authentic and our shared belief that fashion should empower us to be ourselves, we are thrilled to showcase this unique capsule that speaks to the core of our brand DNA.”
As the coronavirus outbreak continues to impact the retail world, PVH announced that it now expects both its fourth-quarter and full-year 2019 earnings to be below its previously reported guidance but is yet to provide specific figures.
