Trade show season kicks off in the UK

This Sunday marks the start of the UK trade show season, starting in London and ending in Birmingham in three weeks’ time with Moda. A lengthy program with no less than five trade shows covering menswear, womenwear and urban fashion. Kicking off the string of events is trade show, Scoop.

Premium womenswear show Scoop provides an upmarket mix of ready-to-wear and accessories and has expanded its offering for the upcoming edition. Taking place between July 21st and 23rd, the show has increased its floor space to now occupy both the Saatchi and Phillips Gallery in London’s affluent Chelsea. Amongst the now 400-strong selection of brands present at the show are Matthew Williamson, See by Chloé and Vivienne Westwood.

On July 23rd Stitch will open for its eighth edition. After having suffered from the arrival of Jackets Required in the menswear scene, the show is coming back strong this time around with a new location, different dates and an expanded selection brands with the addition of womenswear. Located at the Old Sorting Office on New Oxford Street, Stitch will welcome around 70 brands including Bench, Electric and Pretty Green.

Jackets Required, the other menswear contender, will take place between July 31st and August 1st at Victoria House in London. With a less street orientated offering that Stitch, the show will welcome 135 brands from the likes of Lacoste, Armor Lux ann Edwin.

With the smaller, niche show over with, the trade show giants will take the stage.
Pure London takes place between 4th and 6th August at the Olympia. The venue is sure to be full to the brim with the growing number of footwear and accessories brands that attend the show. Including womenswear, lingerie, swimwear and children’s wear, over one thousand brands will take part in the event.

And as usual, Moda will be closing the festivities at the NEC in Birmingham, hosting over 1450 brands across womenswear, menswear, lingerie, swimwear and urban fashion with mini-show Flip which is celebrating its third edition. Organized by the ITE group, Moda belongs to the same group as Scoop and Jacket’s Required.
