Turbo boost for MSGM, from Dubai to Tokyo
It's going swimmingly for Massimo Giorgetti! The designer, recently appointed Creative Director at Emilio Pucci, is enjoying growing success with MSGM, his own brand of contemporary ready-to-wear apparel launched in 2009.
After opening a first store in Milan in September 2013, the label opened a second directly-owned shop in Hong Kong and about ten display corners in prestigious department stores, from Paris to New York by way of Thailand and Japan.
Keeping up the momentum, the label announced in a press release it will start trading in Dubai, at the Dubai Mall on Sheikh Zayed Road, with local partner BinHendi Enterprise.
It will feature a 100 sq m modular space dedicated to men's and women's fashion and accessories. The interiors have been designed by the stylist himself, in collaboration with the CLS Architetti studio and local architects.
"We are present in a balanced fashion in the four corners of the world, from Asia, notably in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo, to the USA by way of Europe", underlines the stylist, who currently employs a staff of about fifty, 10 of whom in the design office, and in 2014 reported €35 million in revenues.
Massimo Giorgetti has increased his visibility by joining Emilio Pucci (LVMH). "It's been something of a revolution, reinforcing my credibility both with those distributors who believed in me from the start and with new buyers, who are approaching my brand intrigued by my appointment at Emilio Pucci", enthuses Giorgetti.
"From the creative point of view, the impact has been significant too. It has modified my creative experience, making me discover a new Massimo", concludes the designer, who will unveil his first Emilio Pucci collection on September 24th at Milan Fashion Week.
