However, the brand won't be showing at London Fashion Week, after four catwalk shows, as it steps away from the traditional fashion calendar to instead focus on its "authentic connection to music festivals."

Hunter’s Creative Director, Alasdhair Willis said: “Hunter has been on an incredible journey these past two years, gathering real momentum as we set about transitioning this 160 year business. During this massive transformative period we have delivered four brand-defining Hunter Original shows at LFW. Using this success as a strong tail wind, and continuing our commitment to innovate, now is the time to push things further."

The brand opened its first flagship in London last year, and Willis said: "Opening standalone Hunter stores in key cities allows us to welcome the global consumer into the Hunter world. The success of our first flagship on Regent Street, which showcases the full range of products that Hunter now offers, is testament to the evolution of the brand...We will be opening a Tokyo flagship in March which will be closely followed by New York and Hong Kong."

Hunter posted a 17% FY turnover increase, up to £95.7m, for the 2014 full year.
