Umbro launches Italian e-store in deal with Kooomo
British sportswear brand Umbro has added Italy to its list of online markets, just in time to serve customers during the lockdown.
Umbro partnered with enterprise cloud commerce platform Kooomo to launch its online store in Italy, expanding into a new market as a part of its corporate digitalisation process.
The company said that Kooomo, which has previously worked with various sports and fashion retailers, was the right partner for its Italian pursuit.
“When looking for a supplier who could bring our vision to life in the market, we wanted one which could provide us with an SaaS cloud platform that is flexible, international and brought all aspects of the business under one roof for us to easily manage,” Amoruso said.
Ciaran Bollard, CEO of Kooomo, added: “The Umbro brand is very well-known and respected within the sporting industry and we’re thrilled to be launching such a prestigious name into a new key market.”
Founded in Manchester in 1924, Umbro is perhaps best known for its football links. The brand has been producing kits for Premier League teams since 1934, but it also offers trend-led sportswear for men, women and children, as well as sneakers, running shoes and sliders.
