Under Armour on Tuesday launched UA Shop, a mobile shopping app built on the Under Armour Connected Fitness platform. UA Shop is the company’s first app dedicated to elevating the consumer shopping experience.

The new app bridges Under Armour’s digital communities with its performance apparel, footwear and equipment. Users can find the right Under Armour gear through in-app recommendations, and they can experience a deeply personalized experience through purchase and workout history, as well as athlete inspiration.

UA Record and MapMyFitness users can sync their existing account information to UA Shop, and integration will be added soon to MyFitnessPal, the digital company that Under Armour acquired in December 2013, and Endomondo.

"UA Shop is the next step in our connected fitness evolution as Under Armour becomes a true Math House," said Jason LaRose, Senior Vice President, Revenue, at Under Armour. "This app was created to maximize our digital platform and complement our existing in-store experiences by bringing consumers a way to find the products they want, when they want it. We are now able to provide custom experiences across our various categories specific to our diverse customer base."

The Baltimore-based athletic company launched its Connected Fitness platform in Canada in April. The company in May appointed Michael Lee, the former SVP, North America Digital, as Chief Digital Officer succeeding Robert Thurston. Lee joined the company in March 2015 through the acquisition of MyFitnessPal, and he oversaw the digital product strategy for Under Armour Connected Fitness.

UA Shop is available for download now on the App Store and will be available soon in the Google Play store.
