Under Armour vice-president of footwear steps down

Gene McCarthy, senior vice president of footwear for U.S. group Under Armour, is resigning February 22. The footwear expert joined Under Armour in 2009, following a rise to the top at Nike, Reebok and as a joint manager of Timberland.

Under Armour chief operating officer Kip Fulks will take over footwear while continuing to handle operations.

For its third quarter 2012 ended September, Under Armour reported sales of $63 million for footwear from overall sales of $562 million (418 million euros).
