After opening a joint giant-sized Uniqlo-Theory space on London’s Regent Street, the owner of both brands, Fast Retailing, is clearly pleased with the results and will open another in Covent Garden late next month.

The joint store will be a flagship spanning Long Acre and Floral Street that debuts on 27 April.

The new store covers three large floors and will include Uniqlo LifeWear, the Theory offer, and “experience-led features for customers”.

These will include a RE.UNIQLO Studio where shoppers can recycle, repair or remake their Uniqlo items and UTme! where shoppers can create their own designs and explore the new TFL 160th birthday collection.

The Grade II listed Carriage Hall will also be home to Uniqlo UK’s first in-store café, in partnership with London based Japanese tearoom Katsute 100 to offer customers “Japanese-inspired refreshments” in the cafe and outside terrace.

Carriage Hall — originally an 18th century coach house — has housed a number of retail businesses over the years. Most recently, The Shop at Bluebird and Jigsaw were in residence, although that store later closed as Jigsaw went through a store shuttering process.

The opening will come as Covent Garden is seeing a number of retail developments next month. They include Hackett hosting an Extraordinary Suits for Extraordinary Men event on 20-21 April and Rituals hosting a Henrietta Street pop-up on 19-23 April.
