Continuing its North American expansion, Uniqlo will launch a new store with a retail space of more than 3,000 square meters on New York's 34th Street this fall.

The new location will follow on the heels of the giant Fifth Avenue flagship at 666 Fifth Avenue, which is also expected to open in the fall of 2011. Announced last year, the Fifth Avenue address will cover a space of around 8,300 square metres and is going to be Uniqlo’s biggest store in the world.

Joining the Soho global flagship store, this will bring the retailer’s New York network to three large stores. In conjunction with this expansion, Uniqlo is seeking to recruit approximately 1,000 individuals to operate the new Fifth Avenue and 34th Street stores.
